  • Represented the government within the East African Community, its Central bank and government ministries in arbitration proceedings at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) involving a claim exceeding USD 1 Billion (KES 129 billion).
  • Represented a government within the East African Community at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), The Hague on claims of a breach of contract in a several construction matters valued at cumulative value of over USD 31.6 Million.
  • Successfully defended a state power corporation in a USD 112 million (KES 14 billion) breach of contract claim regarding supply of electrical equipment.
  • Successfully defended a tier one bank in USD 7.8 million (KES 97 million) proceedings to stop property auction due to loan default.
  • Defended a transport sector state corporation in procurement review proceedings for a USD 32.8 million (KES 4 billion) tender.
  • Represented a county government in a petition concerning a USD 73.8 million (KES 9 billion) housing project, involving displacement, environmental and constitutional issues.
  • Successfully defended a client against an irregular tax assessment by the Kenya Revenue Authority amounting to Ksh 200 million (approx. USD 1.5 million), securing a full reversal of the penalties.
  • Represented a company seeking to compel the Registrar of Companies to adhere to the procedures of the Companies Act and strike out the name of a new company that was phonetically similar to our client’s name.
  • Successfully represented a state corporation in a suit where a party sought to stop an award of a KShs. 690 Million tender for a gas project to a third party by the said state corporation.
  • Represented a state corporation where the petitioner sought to challenge government guarantees and termination terms with respect to several power stations for the value of KShs. 2.4 Trillion.
  • Represented a bank in Kenya wherein the Assets Recovery Agency sought forfeiture of KShs.200 Million which monies were used as security for an overdraft facility.
  • Represented a state corporation in a land dispute where the Plaintiff sought orders to compel our client to sell a property valued at KSHs.1.12 Billion
  • Successfully represented a state corporation in a suit where the Plaintiff sought to quash a gazette notice which sought to compulsorily acquire a property valued at KShs.1.14 Billion
  • Successfully represented a state corporation which had been sued for cancellation of a tender for supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Claims Management System valued at KShs.697 Million
  • Successfully represented a state corporation in a claim seeking termination of a tender for supply and delivery of heavy fuel oil to a power station whose value was KShs.2.9 Billion
  • Represented financial institutions in trade union suits seeking computation and payment of all unionisable employees of the Bank covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) Salary increment.
  • Successfully mediated a copyright dispute for a major EPZ firm, avoiding costly litigation and achieving a client-favourable outcome.
  • Represented a government parastatal in a construction arbitration in a matter involving breach of contract to the tune of KES 5B (USD. 38.9M).
  • Defended a client in construction dispute involving compensation for damages in a fixed tender sum of KES 241 M (USD 1.8M).
  • Defended a Kenyan listed bank in a debt recovery suit involving execution of property in recovery of a default worth KES 211M (USD1.6M).
  • Successfully represented a government parastatal in an Arbitration proceeding involving a dispute worth KES 38 M (USD 294 K).
  • Represented a Kenyan listed bank in a complex employment dispute that involves unionization of several employees.
  • Represented a State Corporation in a major procurement dispute in tender involving purchase and supply of goods worth 124 M (USD 961 K)
